Full-time Production Printer

Full-time production printer at Refresh Collective Print and Embroidery will be a skilled screen printer with a heart to honor the stories of everyone they meet. Our shop serves as a recovery-rich environment for women in early sobriety and students on alternative paths to graduation to develop rooted connections. We foster a culture where our interns have the space and opportunity to process their daily experiences while entering or reentering the workforce.

Our shop is growing and changing, and we are looking for a production-minded individual who loves manual screen printing

Responsibilities

• • Print production
    • Performing the entire screen print process from burning to reclaiming screens
    • Printing up to 6 colors on a manual press using water-based ink
    • Mixing ink colors with and without recipes
    • Printing on cotton, performance material, canvas, and more
    • Responsible for ensuring the job is printed accurate to the production sheet and according to the debrief with the sales team
    • Upholding quality standards
    • Meeting weekly production to meet customer deadlines
    • Ensuring all jobs get pushed through the online system and any production delays are communicated quickly
    • Occasionally reaching out to clients for on-the-press approval
  • Attitude
    • Willing to print the long, large-quantity jobs with a good attitude
    • Able to troubleshoot tough projects
    • Printing alongside new printers patiently
    • Sharing your craft and knowledge
      
      

Experience

• Experience in manual screen printing - 3 years preferred
• Experience in printing with water-based ink - 1 year preferred
• Experience printing up to 6 colors on a manual press - 1 year preferred
• Must be willing to and have a passion for working with persons in recovery from addiction, with mental learning challenges, and/or trauma-affected histories

Approximate Schedule:
40 hours per week / 12 months per year.
